The Monster Factory – Terms & Policies
These Terms & Policies govern participation in workshops, classes, and private lessons organized by The Monster Factory. By registering for and/or attending any workshop, class, or lesson, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.
1. General Terms (Applicable to All Services)
1.1 Right to Refuse Participation
The Monster Factory reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:
1. Deny participation in any workshop, class, or lesson to any individual for any reason.
2. Remove any participant for conduct deemed unruly, vulgar, disruptive, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.
3. Postpone or cancel any workshop, class, or lesson with reasonable notice.
Refunds:
- If participation is denied prior to commencement, the participant shall be entitled to a full refund of fees paid.
- If a participant is removed after commencement due to misconduct or violation of these terms, no refund shall be issued.
1.2 Recording & Photography
- Certain workshops or lessons may be recorded by The Monster Factory solely for providing enrolled participants with a review copy.
- Such recordings are provided strictly for personal, private educational use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or shared in any form.
- Unauthorized use of recordings may result in legal action and/or exclusion from future programs.
- The Monster Factory may take group photographs during workshops for promotional purposes. Participants who do not wish to appear must notify us in writing prior to the event.
1.3 Educational Purpose
All services offered by The Monster Factory are intended for educational and training purposes only. They are not auditions, interviews, or guarantees of employment, and participation shall not be construed as such.
2. Workshop Policy
2.1 All Sales Final
All workshop registrations are non-refundable. Once a purchase is made, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to illness, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend.
2.2 Transfers
- A registered participant who is unable to attend may request to transfer their registration to a future workshop of equal value, subject to availability.
- Notice of transfer must be provided in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled workshop.
- Requests made less than twenty-four (24) hours prior will not be accepted, unless The Monster Factory, at its sole discretion, grants an exception in the case of a documented medical or personal emergency.
- Transfers must be used within six (6) months of the original workshop date.
2.3 No-Shows
Participants who fail to attend without notice will be considered no-shows and shall not be eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers.
2.4 Organizer Cancellations
If The Monster Factory cancels or postpones a workshop, participants may choose between:
a) a full refund, or
b) a transfer to a future workshop of equal value at no cost.
3. Private Voice Lessons Policy
3.1 Scheduling & Rescheduling
- The first private voice lesson must be scheduled through the designated online booking system (Calendly) and is considered fixed once booked.
- Subsequent lessons are scheduled directly by email between the instructor and the participant.
- Participants must provide at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice to reschedule a lesson.
- If less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is given, the lesson may still be rescheduled once at no additional cost. Repeated last-minute rescheduling requests may, at The Monster Factory’s discretion, result in the lesson being forfeited.
3.2 Cancellations & No-Shows
- All private lesson purchases are non-refundable.
- Participants are expected to notify The Monster Factory if they cannot attend a scheduled lesson.
- If notice is given, the lesson will always be rescheduled at no additional cost.
- If a participant misses a lesson without any prior notice (“no-show”), the lesson may still be rescheduled at the instructor’s discretion; however, repeated no-shows or repeated last-minute cancellations may result in the lesson being forfeited.
3.3 Instructor Cancellations
If an instructor cancels a lesson, the participant may choose between:
a) rescheduling at no additional cost, or
b) receiving a full refund of the lesson fee.
4. Closing Statement
The Monster Factory reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Policies at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued participation in any workshop, class, or lesson constitutes acceptance of the most recent version of these Terms & Policies.
